| PAS-X -
The Leading MES Product for Pharmaceutical and Biotech Industry
|
|
 |
|
Since 2007, Werum has been ranked the worldwide leading MES supplier for pharmaceutical and biotech companies by independent analysts. At the same time, Werum has been one of the few globally operating, truly independent MES software providers in this industry. Our PAS-X product can be integrated with all existing standard ERP and DCS/SCADA systems and can therefore be employed, no matter what the manufacturer of these systems.

 |
| The cornerstones of our success |
|
 |
Our success is built on the following four cornerstones:
1. Product
PAS-X is a well-engineered, advanced standard software product that has been enhanced and improved continuously over the last two decades. Our main development focus is on providing the best functional support for business processes in manufacturing. In close cooperation with our customers we design best practice scenarios and optimize and expand PAS-X functionality based on their valuable input. PAS-X has a wide range of functions, yet is still easy to use and operate. Our users expect user-friendly dialogs and intuitive system operation - PAS-X meets these expectations with a design that complies with established software ergonomic principles.
2. Methods and Quality
Throughout numerous projects, we have gained invaluable project management experience so that
we can draw on the methods and expertise necessary to implement even complex projects - from
GAP analysis to software solution validation.
Quality assurance is our highest priority: We use one of the best software-supported quality
management systems available on the market.
3. Service and Support
We offer comprehensive services within the MES environment covering the entire lifecycle of MES solutions. We consult our customers before and after investment decisions are made. We support them in identifying their system requirements and in validating their implemented systems. We provide comprehensive, around-the-clock (24/7) support services long beyond the implementation phase.
4. Customer Base
The fourth pillar of our success are undoubtedly the reliable, long-term partnerships
with our customers. Thanks to our broad customer base we have a constant influx of new
ideas from practical experience that have a positive impact on product development.
Our key customers have come together to form the PAS-X User Forum.
The members of this group meet regularly and share their ideas
with Werum. Their invaluable input contributes greatly to the
continuous quality improvements of our product and services.

| Market Development |
|
 |
Market research institutes, such as AMR, ARC, Frost & Sullivan, and Gartner forecast that the investment volume for MES in the pharmaceutical industry will duplicate by 2012. The following developments drive this growth
- Lowering profit margins and the resulting concentration of the pharmaceutical market require additional actions to streamline the manufacturing processes.
- Big pharmaceutical companies harmonize their MES environment.
- Mid-sized pharmaceutical companies implement highly standardized MES products.
- Big pharmaceutical companies from Asian countries gear up to get ready for the global market and are adapting their manufacturing processes to strict international standards (the catchword is "regulatory compliance").
